{"id":664,"date":"2015-04-24T16:36:34","date_gmt":"2015-04-24T15:36:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/mase\/?p=664"},"modified":"2015-04-24T16:55:28","modified_gmt":"2015-04-24T15:55:28","slug":"dr-jenny-byrne-to-lead-a-qualitative-evaluation-for-the-headstart-pilot-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/mshe\/dr-jenny-byrne-to-lead-a-qualitative-evaluation-for-the-headstart-pilot-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Jenny Byrne to lead a qualitative evaluation for the HeadStart pilot project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr Jenny Byrne, Associate Professor in Education at Southampton Education School, has secured\u00a0funding and will be leading the\u00a0qualitative evaluation of stage 2 ( pilot) of the HeadStart project.<\/p>\n<p>The HeadStart project aims:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To raise young people\u2019s aspirations and outcomes by providing them with the tools and access to activities to strengthen their resilience.<\/li>\n<li>Through prevention and early intervention with young people and their families, to disrupt the journey towards mental ill-health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jenny\u00a0will be supported by a Senior Research Assistant and together form part of the evaluation team including Professor Viv Speller and Cassandra Powers. This evaluation will contribute to the overall evaluation of Stage 2 and to the development of the project proposal, especially the research and evaluation components of Stage 3.
