Here are some quick stats on Blackboard support and performance.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Support<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>In the first 16 days of teaching 2016 iSolutions received <strong>167<\/strong> Blackboard tickets and <strong>40% were related to inaccurate Banner data<\/strong>.\u00a0 This compares with <strong>175<\/strong> tickets in 2015 for the same period, where <strong>35% related to inaccurate Banner data<\/strong>. \u00a0The most common cause of tickets being raised due to inaccurate Banner data is where staff find that their faculties have not listed them in Banner as teaching courses.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>average ticket resolution time<\/em> for\u00a0Blackboard tickets in the first 16 days of term was<strong> 17 their query will be dealt with as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Performance and Usage<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Page load time \/ Site Speed<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In the first 16 days of term the Blackboard average page load time for soton.ac.uk domain users was <strong>1.07<\/strong> seconds.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Activity<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In those 16 days there were <strong>362,313 sessions<\/strong>, averaging <strong>7 minutes 1 second<\/strong> in length.\u00a0 <strong>If combined that activity would account for 4.8 years of constant usage.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The busiest day of the first 16 days was 17 October with <strong>19,809<\/strong> users viewing<strong> 297,550<\/strong> pages of content.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Browsers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>37<\/strong>% of users used Chrome, <strong>20<\/strong>% Safari, <strong>18<\/strong>% Edge, <strong>15<\/strong>% IE, and <strong>3.5<\/strong>% Firefox.<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s an interesting difference in how users of these browsers use Blackboard. \u00a0Chrome users accounted for <strong>48<\/strong>% of page views, Safari users accounted for <strong>24<\/strong>%, Edge <strong>11<\/strong>%, IE <strong>8.6<\/strong>%, Firefox <strong>5.5<\/strong>%.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">OS<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In terms of OS usage for the first 16 days:<\/p>\n<table style=\"background-color: #ccffcc\"
