In the first 16 days of teaching 2016 iSolutions received 167<\/strong> Blackboard tickets and 40% were related to inaccurate Banner data<\/strong>.\u00a0 This compares with 175<\/strong> tickets in 2015 for the same period, where 35% related to inaccurate Banner data<\/strong>. \u00a0The most common cause of tickets being raised due to inaccurate Banner data is where staff find that their faculties have not listed them in Banner as teaching courses.<\/p>\n The average ticket resolution time<\/em> for\u00a0Blackboard tickets in the first 16 days of term was 17 minutes,<\/strong> this compares very favourably with other elearning services:<\/p>\n Customers who raise Blackboard tickets can rest assured that their query will be dealt with as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n Page load time \/ Site Speed<\/span><\/p>\n In the first 16 days of term the Blackboard average page load time for soton.ac.uk domain users was 1.07<\/strong> seconds.<\/p>\n Activity<\/span><\/p>\n In those 16 days there were 362,313 sessions<\/strong>, averaging 7 minutes 1 second<\/strong> in length.\u00a0 If combined that activity would account for 4.8 years of constant usage.<\/strong><\/p>\n The busiest day of the first 16 days was 17 October with 19,809<\/strong> users viewing 297,550<\/strong> pages of content.<\/p>\n Browsers<\/span><\/p>\n 37<\/strong>% of users used Chrome, 20<\/strong>% Safari, 18<\/strong>% Edge, 15<\/strong>% IE, and 3.5<\/strong>% Firefox.<\/p>\n But there’s an interesting difference in how users of these browsers use Blackboard. \u00a0Chrome users accounted for 48<\/strong>% of page views, Safari users accounted for 24<\/strong>%, Edge 11<\/strong>%, IE 8.6<\/strong>%, Firefox 5.5<\/strong>%.<\/p>\n OS<\/span><\/p>\n In terms of OS usage for the first 16 days:<\/p>\n If we look at the versions of operating systems (top 10):<\/p>\n So the majority of users (44.37%) are using Windows 10.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" It’s been 16 days since the start of term.
