We don\u2019t want our company to view us as being \u2018unprofessional\u2019 in circumstances when we are enjoying our private life moment, like Stacy Snyder\u2019s case shared in <a href=\"https:\/\/seantayjr.wordpress.com\/2016\/11\/07\/topic-2-online-identity\/\" >Sean<\/a>\u2019s post. Thus, having multiple identities help to avoid this situation and allow us to have a balance in our &#8216;personal-professional&#8217; life.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is noticeable that multiple identities are often questioned for its credibility. With the increasing usage of the internet and social medias (refer to the picture\u00a0below), it is hard to avoid social influences on individual to show only their \u2018best moment\u2019 online. This links me back to Sean\u2019s post saying that single identity helps to showcase one\u2019s true-self. But question is, does single identity user on the net really showcasing their true-self too?<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-154\" src=\"https:\/\/wendykohwenqi.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/11\/screen-shot-2016-02-15-at-12-04-18.png?w=1000\" alt=\"Screen-Shot-2016-02-15-at-12.04.18.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wendykohwenqi.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/11\/screen-shot-2016-02-15-at-12-04-18.png 487w, https:\/\/wendykohwenqi.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/11\/screen-shot-2016-02-15-at-12-04-18.png?w=150 150w, https:\/\/wendykohwenqi.files.wordpress.com\/2016\/11\/screen-shot-2016-02-15-at-12-04-18.png?w=300 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 487px) 100vw, 487px\"   \/><\/p>\n<p>Personally, owning multiple identities allow me to express myself more freely and be who I want to be on different platforms. Nonetheless, one should not abuse the usage of these identities for the wrong reason. Like what mentioned by Klarissa, anonymity might cause potential threats such as cyber-bullying due to misuse of freedom of speech.
