Strand 2 Understanding intergenerational relationships and support
Contributing to understanding intergenerational relationships and support in contemporary low and middle-income countries.
Discussants: Solveig Argeseanu Cunningham, Jacques Emina, Gabriela Meijes-Pailles, Aravinda Guntupalli. Kathryn Yount
We welcomed country-specific or comparative, quantitative and/or qualitative empirical studies of intergenerational relationships and exchanges. Authors of papers presenting empirical findings were encouraged to discuss critically the conceptual and methodological challenges and innovative solutions that can enhance future demographic data collection methods and analyses.
We have two sessions in this strand – A general session and a Special session on China (here).
