While she was here Professor Smit gave a seminar in the CLLEAR and CGE seminar series entitled <a title=\"CLLEAR-CGE and ILC Visiting scholar seminar Prof Ute Smit Wed 19 February\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/ilc\/2014\/02\/14\/cllear-cge-and-ilc-visiting-scholar-seminar-prof-ute-smit-wed-19-february\/\"><strong>English-medium education in multilingual university settings: A sociolinguistic examination of interactive explaining in the classroom<\/strong><\/a>. A conference on \u2018Music and Migration\u2019 in October 2009 brought together academics and musicians from Madagascar and North Africa, including the acclaimed Madagascar AllStars who are interviewed in these podcasts.
