{"id":384,"date":"2015-11-25T12:27:46","date_gmt":"2015-11-25T12:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/ics\/?p=384"},"modified":"2015-12-18T11:14:22","modified_gmt":"2015-12-18T11:14:22","slug":"ics-workshop-the-cultural-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/ics\/2015\/11\/25\/ics-workshop-the-cultural-game\/","title":{"rendered":"ICS Workshop: &#8220;The Cultural Game&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We\u2019d like to let you know about an upcoming workshop event: &#8220;The Cultural Game&#8221;\u00a0which is running as part of the Intercultural Connections Project (ICS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It will run from <strong>6-8pm<\/strong> on <strong>Wednesday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> December<\/strong> on <strong>Highfield Campus<\/strong>, in room <strong>54\/8033<\/strong> (Maths building).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The event will consist of:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Part 1: The Culture Card Game.<\/li>\n<li>Short break<\/li>\n<li>Part 2: What is Intelligence?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">There will be <strong>free pizza<\/strong> (yes, you heard it!) between workshops and <strong>prizes<\/strong> for the winner!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The aim of the workshop is to\u00a0explore how culture affects our perception, behaviour and how can we response to with such differences when interact with another culture.\u00a0The event should be a fun way for you to get to know people, contribute to some really interesting discussions, and learn a little about what we mean with the words \u2018intercultural\u2019 and \u2018intelligence\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This workshop would be perfect for international students, home students who are considering studying or working abroad during their degree, modern languages students. Or, if you are someone who is interested in culture, very competitive; therefore want to challenge our cards game and intelligent test,\u00a0and of course, treating yourself to pizza; you cannot miss this!
