What is it?

The intercultural Impact Awards Scheme is a unique volunteering opportunity open to ALL students currently studying at the University of Southampton. By joining our team you will be offered the chance to give your personal contribution in making the city and the University of Southampton a place where cultural diversity is  celebrated.

Why should you get involved?

Participating in our scheme represents a once in a lifetime occasion to connect with other cultures and to expand your intercultural knowledge.

A training session on intercultural awareness and social enterprise will be provided to all students that will join. Moreover, students will be offered the opportunity to gain valuable employability skills such as:

• Team work
• Project management
• Intercultural communication
• Leadership

How does it work?

Joining in, you will be part of a team of 30 students collaborating to create a positive intercultural impact on the Southampton community. In addition, depending on your background, personality and skills you will be allocated to one of our smaller teams:

• The event team
• The engagement team
• The education team
