You will also get the chance to discuss feedback with students and get their input on what works and what doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/feedbackchampions\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_7864_small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-833 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/feedbackchampions\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_7864_small-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7864_small\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Whether you are a student or a member of staff, you will:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn about the Feedback and other Student Champions across the University<\/li>\n<li>Hear about existing good feedback practice<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other staff and students to find concrete solutions to improve feedback<\/li>\n<li>Make a difference for you and your peers!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Keynote speaker<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em><strong>Dr Tansy Jessop<\/strong><\/em> is the Head of Learning and Teaching at the University of <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-834 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/feedbackchampions\/files\/2015\/02\/IMG_7875_small-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7875_small\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Winchester. She leads the \u2018Transforming the Experience of Students through Assessment\u2019 (TESTA) National Teaching Fellowship Project, which has spread to more than 50 universities in the UK, Australia, India and the USA.\u00a0 She developed the \u2018proof of concept\u2019 for the Student Fellows Scheme at Winchester through her management of the JISC-funded project, \u2018FASTECH\u2019. At Winchester, sixty Student Fellows work in partnership with staff on educational research and innovation projects. Tansy began her career as a secondary school teacher in South Africa, completing a PhD on teacher development in rural KwaZulu-Natal.\u00a0 She has published on social justice, narrative inquiry, learning spaces and assessment and feedback.
