\"fashionfocus2\"<\/a>Students from the Winchester School\u00a0of Art (WSA) had the opportunity\u00a0to showcase their talent at an innovative\u00a0event called ‘Future Focus’, attended by leading employers from the\u00a0UK fashion industry.<\/p>\n

Amanda Bragg-Mollison, Programme Leader of Fashion Marketing\/Management at WSA, came up with the\u00a0idea of the event to\u00a0get her students in front of industry leaders.<\/p>\n

WSA invested\u00a0in a centrally located London venue and, after months of negotiation, forged a partnership\u00a0with\u00a0LS:N Global, a market intelligence\u00a0agency which has clients across the fashion industry.<\/p>\n

This was key to WSA successfully inviting some very influential people\u00a0to the event held in\u00a0Soho.\u00a0Attendees had a\u00a030-minute consumer trend presentation by LS:N Global which\u00a0explored the impact of the digital environment on consumers and the consequences, challenges and opportunities this presents for brands. Industry\u00a0professionals in attendance said\u00a0how insightful and useful the presentation was and\u00a0 how it\u00a0provoked\u00a0self-reflection about\u00a0the use of technology in our daily lives.<\/p>\n

Following the presentation there was a video<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>of work by\u00a0WSA students, who are all\u00a0in their final year of the\u00a0Fashion Marketing and Management degree, and the opportunity to network with some of the UK’s leading names in the industry.<\/p>\n

It is hoped\u00a0that the event will help graduates onto the career ladder in the highly competitive fashion industry.<\/p>\n

Amanda says: ‘My vision would be that ‘Future Focus’ becomes the ‘go to place’ for leading brands in the fashion industry who are looking for high calibre graduates.”<\/p>\n
