{"id":1803,"date":"2015-02-06T13:48:00","date_gmt":"2015-02-06T13:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/evoice\/?p=1803"},"modified":"2015-02-26T09:31:48","modified_gmt":"2015-02-26T09:31:48","slug":"external-engagement-lunches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/evoice\/external-engagement-lunches\/","title":{"rendered":"A successful engagement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The aim of the \u2018Successful External Engagement\u2019\u00a0lunches is to support and encourage researchers who are looking for opportunities to take their expertise beyond the academic community.\u00a0 The lunches programme will provide a window on to various different spheres of external activity and the range of institutional support available.<\/p>\n<p>You can find\u00a0more detailed information about this year\u2019s programme and the topics covered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southampton.ac.uk\/pdu\/Research_Staff\/ECR\/successful_business_engagement.html\" target=\"_blank\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The usual format is an opportunity for networking, followed by a presentation and discussion and then further networking if time permits.\u00a0 The sessions are intended to be interactive and attendees are encouraged to participate and ask questions\/share their experiences with the group.\u00a0 The target audience is Early Career Researchers (postdocs) and Postgraduate Researchers, but staff are also welcome to come along.<\/p>\n<p>The lunches take place approximately once a month from 13:00-14:00 in the Hartley Suite.<\/p>\n<p>The programme is run by Research and Innovation Services (RIS) in collaboration with the Institute for Learning Innovation and Development (ILIaD) Professional Development Team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To book a place please go to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For PGR\u00a0 registration \u2013 www.gradbook.soton.ac.uk<\/p>\n<p>For Staff registration \u2013 www.staffbook.soton.ac.uk<\/p>\n<p><strong>The dates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>13 Feb 13:00 &#8211; 14:00<\/strong> Successful External Engagement: Interdisciplinary Research and the USRGs.
