{"id":1186,"date":"2014-09-25T11:54:42","date_gmt":"2014-09-25T11:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/evoice\/?p=1186"},"modified":"2014-09-25T11:54:42","modified_gmt":"2014-09-25T11:54:42","slug":"management-school-become-southampton-business-school-1-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/evoice\/management-school-become-southampton-business-school-1-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Management School to become Southampton Business School on 1 October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 1 October, the University of Southampton will be launching the Southampton Business School.<\/p>\n<p>The vision for the School is:<\/p>\n<p>\u2018For ambitious leaders who want to change the world, Southampton Business School provides a transformational experience, connecting people and organisations to deliver ground breaking social and economic impact\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Moving forward, the school will build on the strong foundations of the current Management School and exemplify the University\u2019s strategic ambitions of distinction, globalisation and growth.\u00a0 It will be a rewarding place to teach, study, carry out research and to work with enterprise.<\/p>\n<p>Southampton Business School programmes and activities will ultimately extend across the University, drawing upon the established academic strengths and connections of the University to establish a distinctive, internationally competitive position to attract the best UK and international students.<\/p>\n<p>The next couple of years will be an exciting and interesting time and, to get a better insight into the way the University is presenting Southampton Business School, please\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/evoice\/files\/2014\/09\/4193UniSoton_cross_web-1-No-back-page.pdf\">click here<\/a> to see a leaflet which will form part of the publicity campaign promoting the new school.\u00a0A new web site for Southampton Business School will also be going live shortly and the URL for that will be made available shortly.<\/p>\n<p>For new and returning students to Southampton Business School the immediate operational impact of these changes will be minimal, as the new business school will \u00a0continue to deliver the same high quality programmes and further improve them.
