\u00a0A quick look at some of the professors who are involved in organizing collaborations and mentoring researchers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> Professor Baldwin leads the Anxiety Disorders Research Network, an international multi-centre independent collaborative cross-disciplinary research grouping, with support from the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP). Head of the Mental Health Group<\/a> at the University of Southampton<\/a>,\u00a0Professor Baldwin leads a group that aims to improve clinical outcomes in patients with mood and anxiety disorders.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prof Dan Stein (Chair of the Dept of\u00a0Psychiatry<\/a>\u00a0and Mental Health at the\u00a0University of Cape Town<\/a>) is interested in the psychobiology\u00a0and\u00a0management of the anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related, and traumatic and stress disorders. He is enthusiastic about the possibility of clinical practice and scientific research that integrates theoretical concepts and empirical data across these different levels.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Professor Naomi Fineberg is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Honorary Senior Lecturer with academic links with Imperial College London and the University of Hertfordshire<\/a>. With a long track record of research and specialist treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,\u00a0she runs a specialist OCD treatment service<\/a> at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Welwyn Garden City. Professor\u00a0Fineberg advises the British Association for Psychopharmacology<\/a> on guidelines for treating anxiety disorders.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0Professor Borwin Bandelow, MD, PhD, is Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy<\/a> at the University of Goettingen, Germany, and head of the Anxiety Disorders Unit. As President of the Society of Anxiety Research, Professor Bandelow<\/a> has is also a senior consultant of psychiatry with interests in the assessment, neurobiology and treatment of anxiety disorders, as well as psychotherapy and the side effects of neuroleptic drugs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dr Nic van der Wee is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist at the Leiden University Medical Centre<\/a> and the Leiden Institute for Brain and Cognition (LIBC)<\/a>.\u00a0His main focus is the treatment and neurobiology of mood and anxiety disorders, with a particular interest in genetic neuroimaging.<\/p>\n

Christer Allgulander, MD, is Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer of Psychiatry in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institute.<\/a> He specializes in the pharmacotherapy, epidemiology, genetics and prognosis of generalized anxiety, panic anxiety and social anxiety. While not directly involved in EUSARNAD, Christer is a member of the Anxiety Disorders Research Network of the ENCP and chaired the first EUSARNAD colloquium.<\/p>\n

\nProfessor Katharina Domschke, MA, MD, PhD, is full professor of psychiatry and senior executive physician at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy, University of Wuerzburg, Germany<\/a>. Her clinical and scientific interests focus on anxiety and affective disorders with a strong emphasis on genetic aspects including molecular genetics, epigenetics, imaging genetics and therapygenetics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
