{"id":36,"date":"2010-05-27T09:44:56","date_gmt":"2010-05-27T09:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/ecert\/?p=36"},"modified":"2010-05-27T09:51:06","modified_gmt":"2010-05-27T09:51:06","slug":"monthly-meeting-24-05-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/ecert\/2010\/05\/27\/monthly-meeting-24-05-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"Monthly meeting 24.05.2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are the discussed topics from today\u2019s eCert project monthly meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Discussed:<br \/>\n* Review of the first workshop and its affect:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>feedbacks from the workshop<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0skype meeting with Andy from Digitary<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Tao&#8217;s draft paper for the differents between the Digitary and the eCert system, we would like to ask Andy as co-author.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* We are through the first round of selections for the ALT-C national conference at Nottingham in September, we are now waiting for the final confirm.\u00a0 we plan to run our second workshop there.<\/p>\n<p>* We have email from Chris that the eWork project is interested in eCert, Chris will let us know once the connection is formed.<\/p>\n<p>* The eFolio system<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0is running in the Psychology department in our university<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0we have contacted the developer, Alex, and has been introduced to the system<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0further inversgate of how eCert can be used in eFolio will be carried out soon<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0the education department may also has an ePortfolio system running<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* The GDP for eCert in ePortfolio<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0we are going to put in an application for a group of four masters-level students to implement the eCert code within an ePortfolio system<\/li>\n<li>we have two choices of the ePortfolio system: &#8220;Mahara&#8221;, an open source ePortfolio system, or the eFolio, our home-brewed ePortfolio system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>* We have been allocated a top quality student as a funded summer intern, to take the eCert code and implement it in a mobile phone-based identity application<\/p>\n<p>* Review of project progress<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0project is running as planed<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0budget tracking<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Tao may have been located too much work &#8211; this needs review<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are the discussed topics from today\u2019s eCert project monthly meeting.
