{"id":214,"date":"2015-08-29T20:21:10","date_gmt":"2015-08-29T19:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/cream\/?p=214"},"modified":"2015-08-29T20:21:10","modified_gmt":"2015-08-29T19:21:10","slug":"annalist-meeting-27-august-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/cream\/2015\/08\/29\/annalist-meeting-27-august-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Annalist meeting, 27 August 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday 27th August, Colin and Cerys met with Graham at Wolfson College, Oxford to discuss the potential roles(s) of Annalist in characterising metadata usage, with a longer-term view to putting together a &#8220;getting started&#8221; guide for researchers wishing to use Annalist to explore their active use of metadata.<\/p>\n<p>Our meeting was both constructive and productive and will inform several aspects of the CREAM project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The &#8220;getting started&#8221; guide itself;<\/li>\n<li>How we describe the concept of active use of metadata;<\/li>\n<li>Our approach to producing the structural outline for the guidelines about active use of metadata (a Phase 2 deliverable);<\/li>\n<li>The modelling of chemical experiment recording, which should influence our thinking about the design of a generic digital research notebook (DRN).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks to Graham for choosing the venue.
