Southampton-based company Snowflake Software<\/a> held their annual ‘Code-Off’ in ECS Labs last month. The premise is simple: be the best coder on the day and your prize is a summer internship working with the company.<\/p>\n

This was the fourth Snowflake Code-Off, and like many things that have taken place in ECS over this academic year, it was the biggest and liveliest so far. Over 20 students took part in the event, which traditionally takes place over six hours on a Saturday. The task was based on Snowflake’s business: the student competitors were asked to provide an air traffic controller with information on aircraft routes with the potential to be affected by adverse weather conditions.<\/p>\n

The three finalists whose solutions were judged best were: Jenny Walker, Stefan Collier, and Dan Lockyer.\u00a0Find out how they fared, and the eventual winner, in the Snowflake Software Blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n
