The University’s main campus is set in green and pleasantly landscaped surroundings, just a short walk from the city centre. Here you will find new and refurbished student facilities, such as the Jubilee Sports Centre and Students’ Union, the Hartley Library, a range of caf\u00e9s and restaurants, a bookshop, a post office and four major banks.<\/p>\n

\nThe Valley Gardens <\/a>is located on the Highfield Campus\u201a behind the Jubilee Sports Hall and Students\u2019 Union building and is home to many rare plant and animal species.<\/p>\n

Union Films<\/strong><\/p>\n

Union Films is the Student Union’s very own cinema. It’s completely run by students, from the front of house staff who sell tickets and refreshments to the projectionists who show the films on our 35mm projector.\u00a0Union Films\u00a0show a large variety of films including British, European and art house as well as the latest Hollywood blockbusters.<\/p>\n

Union Films is open to anyone with a\u00a0SUSU membership, which includes University of Southampton students and staff. However, each member can also bring along up to two non-student guests, who can enjoy films for exactly the same ticket price!<\/p>\n

\nThe Early Years Centre <\/a>is located on Highfield Campus, and provides high quality childcare for students, staff and local parents. The Centre is open to children aged from\u00a0three months\u00a0to five years, and is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday throughout the year.

Nuffield Theatre<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe\u00a0Nuffield Theatre <\/a>is recognised in Great Britain and abroad as a major force in UK theatre and runs full programmes of classics, revivals, new theatre and studio performances. The admission price is discounted for students.

\nTurner Sims Concert Hall<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nThe\u00a0Turner Sims<\/a> Concert Hall <\/strong>hosts leading musicians from the worlds of classical, jazz, folk and world music. It is also one of the UK’s leading venues for chamber music. Students get discounted admission to this extremely popular venue.
