{"id":270,"date":"2015-11-23T11:29:26","date_gmt":"2015-11-23T11:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/adnet\/?p=270"},"modified":"2015-11-23T11:29:26","modified_gmt":"2015-11-23T11:29:26","slug":"set-4-britain-2016-now-open-for-applications-from-phds-and-postdocs-closes-21-dec-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.soton.ac.uk\/adnet\/2015\/11\/23\/set-4-britain-2016-now-open-for-applications-from-phds-and-postdocs-closes-21-dec-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Set 4 Britain 2016 &#8211; Now Open for Applications from PhDs and PostDocs &#8211; Closes 21 Dec 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>SET for BRITAIN 2016<\/strong> poster competition for early career researchers which will be held at the House of Commons on the afternoon of\u00a0<strong>Monday 7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of March 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This annual event is run by the House of Commons Parliamentary and Scientific Committee (PSC) and the \u2018Engineering\u2019 session is supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The competition provides an opportunity for 60 early-career researchers (PhDs and postdocs) to present their posters and the winners receive Gold (\u00a33,000), Silver (\u00a32,000) or Bronze (\u00a31,000) Awards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The overall aim is to encourage, support and promote Britain&#8217;s early career researchers &#8211; \u00a0for further information see:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.setforbritain.org.uk\/index.asp\">http:\/\/www.setforbritain.org.uk\/index.asp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Applications are now being accepted for the competition and the closing date for entries is\u00a0<strong>Monday, the 21<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0of December 2015 at 17:00<\/strong>.
