Jorge Aguilar-Agon – Student Artist Award 2018

Open to emerging 2D artists in their final two years on a higher education art course (Undergraduate or equivalent), the award provides recognition forĀ an up-and-coming artistā€™s talent.

Jorge Aguilar-Agon was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Fine Art Trade Guild and entered into the Guild Hall of Fame after enjoying many years of success as an international artist. Founder member of the European Academy of Arts, his paintings are represented in exclusive private collections and museums all over the world, and citations appear in several notable reference journals.

OurĀ winner will be announced at the prestigious Art and Framing Industry Awards 2018, Saturday 12th May, Holiday Inn, Stratford-Upon-Avon! The overall winner will receive the sought-after Fine Art Trade Guild hand made glass trophy that will be awarded by Jorge Aguilar-Agon. The winnerĀ will receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Awards and will dine with industry greats – a brilliant opportunity to network and learn from the best (including the Guild’s own Fine Art Committee).

The winning artwork will be exhibited in the Guild Artist Exhibition 2018 – both at the private view in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and during the London leg of the exhibition at the prestigious Guild Gallery, Wandsworth.

The call for entries closes atĀ 5pm on the 28th February 2018.

Entry is FREE and consists of 1 or 2 pieces of artworks in high quality digital format, with a 500 word biography. All works submitted must be originals and available for framing and exhibition in May 2018.

April 2018: The winner and shortlist will be notified

12th May 2018: Private view of the Guild Artist Exhibition at the Holiday Inn, Stratford-Upon-Avon andĀ grand announcement of winner at the Art & Framing Industry Awards 2018
