What is your name and where are you from?

Rachael, Winchester.

What is your position in the club? What does that imply? What do you have to do for the club?

As SABA secretary I have to organise saba games for the girls league, confirm with teams and refs, reorganise games and organise transport to away games.

For how long have you been playing basketball for?

7 years

What got you started?

Enjoyed it in year 8 PE so joined the team, then I joined Solent suns (now kestrels).

Why do you like/love basketball?

Team sport means it’s an amazing social environment, the sport means girls can show how tough they are, and it’s a really fun way to keep fit.

What motivates you to go the training sessions?

I want to improve for the whole team so we can do well.

What is your favourite NBA team?

Knicks (but I don’t watch much NBA).

What was your most memorable moment when playing basketball?

Getting into the national playoffs with u16s at solent (or beating solent uni this season).
