DARPA UAVForge Competition 2012 (Update)

The ASL currently has two of the twenty-six entered teamsĀ in the DARPA UAVForge competition 2012. Milestone 3 is a Pass/Fail live fly test where each system has the chance to demonstrate it’s novel features and capability (see below).

Live Video Demo Schedule (26 Teams entered the competition by the 23 February 2012 deadline)

Milestone 3 is broken into three distinct phases: scheduling, demonstrating, and voting.

  • Scheduling will take place 3 February – 23 February (24:00 EST). Available timeslots will be posted and updated on the UAVForge website.
  • The Live Video Demonstration will occur 24 February (06:00 EST) – 1 March (19:30 EST), depending on the timeslot given to your team.
  • Crowd voting for this milestone will occur from 3 March – 8 March.
  • The final selection of the top ten teams will be announced by DARPA via a press release on 10 March.
  • The fly-off is planned to be held in the US during mid-May.
