Just 12 days

photo credit: ClatieK via photopin cc Summary of 12 days: Firstly, the differences made before and after the module: BEFORE: These platforms held all of my online communications and information shared over the recent years. Other than Twitter, my Facebook and Instagram accounts were opened and discoverable by all. In other words, my privacy settings were weak – and I was fine with it. Continue reading →

The End

The rise of the digital world has brought about tremendous changes. It has integrated into our daily lives and become part of us. This module significantly empowered me to do some thinking as I utilize digital platforms in today’s world. Firstly, let’s look at how I have progressed! Collaboration with my peers through commenting and feedback was one of my learning highlights. Well, I believe I have already covered most of my thoughts in the video. Allow me to just add on some points that I have yet to cover. During the start of the module, we were asked to conduct a self-test on our level of digital literacy. Continue reading →

The grand finale.

Well, so what has this module taught me? I cannot even begin to describe how much I have learnt from this module but if I had to describe this experience in three words, they would be ABUNDANCE, DIVERSITY and CONNECTIVITY. Though I have always known that digital media plays a huge role in staying connected and building relationships and networks across the globe, I never really gave much thought to building my digital profile as I thought it was not necessary to do so.
