Open Badges in HE – special interest group (BadgesSIG)

Further to the success of the Open Badge Conference earlier this month, colleagues interested in the use of Open Badges are invited to be part of the new special interest group, BadgesSIG. The purpose of the group is to bring together those interested in the use of badges to enhance education. We hope to continue the conversations around the use of Open Badges for supporting digital literacies skills development as well as for the supporting research-led teaching agenda. Debate: Is there a role for badges in Higher Education?

Our next Teaching and Learning Conversation with take place on Monday 26th October (12:30-13:30 BST) and will debate the question “Is there at role for badges in Higher Education?” The debate format of this TLC will provide participants with an opportunity to experience something different to the common, single room, large group webinar format by using breakout rooms to allow small groups to discuss the topic and formulate questions to put to the debate leaders.
