UK-China Cyber Security Workshop
The UK-China Cyber Security Workshop was run by the Cyber Security Centre in collaboration with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). It took place in from on 8-12 July 2013 at Chilworth Manor, Southampton.
The participants were selected Chinese computing professionals, both from government and industry, representing China CERT, The Internet Society of China, Baidu, Tencent, Qihoo 360, NQ, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The speakers included researchers from Criminology, Electronics and Computer Science, and Management.
The programme was composed of technical sessions –including practical exercises– on basic cyber security and crime issues, as well as several discussion and feedback sessions in which. The detailed timetable is reported below. Both the Chinese delegates and the Foreign and CommonWealth Office considered the outcomes of the workshop very positive and promising in terms of future developments and followup events.
