DisCap: a location-based mobile application to provide discount information
When you go shopping, you may want to know which shop or store has the discount for things you want to buy. Our idea is to meet this demand. Briefly, what we are going to develop is a location-based mobile application to provide discount information. In addition, social elements will be added to allow users and shop owners be more interactive.
If you open our application, which is called DisCap, you will see your location and available discount information nearby. There are two ways to publish these information. One is provided by shop owners. They can post pictures or statuses to the public their discount goods, previous prices, present prices or discount rates. Another is that customers who have gone to the shops found the discount information and updated via our application.
Users can follow their interested people or shops so that they can get the information not only from the map, but also from the timeline which updated by their following people.
