AD Network’s December 2017 Event and training roundup

There are a vast number of great events on offer over the next few months. The AD Network has our “Valorisation of Animal By-Products” event for both researchers and industry who are interested in ways of creating value from such products. The event is at Longleat Forest, Warminster, Wiltshire on 7 Mar 18 and will be followed by an optional visit to Malaby Biogas where they put animal by-products through anaerobic digestion. EBA conference 2018, Antwerp, 24-26^th January 2018. “Greening Gas” is the theme of the next EBA Conference, covering the latest developments of biogas, syngas and biomethane production. 9th European Symposium on Biopolymers: ESBP 2017, Toulouse, 5-7 Jul 17

ESBP 2017 aims to bring together leading experts from both academia and industry to share knowledge and insight into the challenges and opportunities surrounding biopolymers production from microbes. ESBP 2017 will focus on recent developments in the area of biopolymers production, characterization and processing but also on the numerous applications of biopolymeric materials in a variety of fields, including medicine and medical devices, smart materials, coatings, personal care products, structural materials, agro food and agriculture, and many other areas. The main spotlight of ESBP will be on Biopolymers like polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), cellulose, alginates, cyanophicin, poly phosphate, rubber (polyisoprene), etc.

Following the success of its first international conference in 2015, the ABC would like to invite you to its 2^nd International Advanced Biomanufacturing Conference in Sheffield. Following the overall themes of Cell Engineering and Bioprocess Engineering the conference will attract experts from around the world as well as featuring early career researchers.

Academic, research & industrial contributions are welcomed from all areas of biomanufacturing and abstract submissions of no more than 400 words should be sent via the website before the deadline of 31^st January 2017.

Presentation topics (for oral, poster and flash) may include: manufacturing platforms; biopharmaceutical;, bioprocess management; upstream and downstream bioprocessing; technology benchmarks and bio-computing.

Technical papers presenting results as well as position papers challenging pros and cons of particular systems or processes may be presented.
